Part 2 of our coverage of US Nationals! First, listen to Patrick Chapin talk about the deck he played for Nationals and what he thinks of Standard as our time with Alara block begins to dwindle. Next, we podcast over dinner with Michael Flores, Gavin Verhey, Brian Kowal, and Lauren “mulldrifting” Lee, in true Top8Magic-style. Afterwards, join us as we listen to Chapin and Flores discuss the Hall of Fame, lightsabers—pretty much everything but the Kitchen Finks. Lastly, Adam Styborski looks back at his experience with the coverage team.

Yeah, I agree. Vader’s record is terrible but somehow he still takes on Kenobi, LOL. That stuff had me rolling.

Any thoughts on Platinum Emperion? I was more excited about his artwork than any other but I think the card is strictly worse than the Angel, which is also legal, seeing as it has no evasion and you can still lose the game to mill and the opponent winning the game outright somehow like near death experience. I suppose it can’t get burned as easy and has more damage output but it seems underwhelming to me.
